Nearly 4,000 Canadians linked arms this Christmas season with the global church to bring change and hope to children in poverty through our annual Gifts of Compassion campaign.
You gave, fundraised, advocated and prayed—raising more than 1.1 million dollars to make sure children in poverty received gifts that were practical, desperately needed and completely life-changing.

These gifts really do change the lives of children and communities in poverty. Recently, a group of Canadians visited Uganda to see the impact of these gifts in person! Take a look at two of the communities in Uganda who have hugely benefitted from the gifts of water and pigs given in past years!
James Tebyasa, Uganda Water Specialist, explains how the generosity of Canadians who gave to Gifts of Compassion in the last few years is making life much easier for those in Uganda who used to have to trek nine kilometres just to get water!
Pastor Fred from Deliverance Church in Uganda shares with visiting Canadians how gifts of pigs in past years has allowed 50 families in his community to thrive with a sustainable income!
