Do the Response programs really work?

Written by: Aaron Armstrong

Compassion’s ministry gives children, parents and young adults the chance to be freed from poverty in every sense as they’re developed in all the different aspects of their lives—their minds, bodies and relationships while discovering God’s love for them in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

But sometimes there are needs that go beyond what can be covered by regular support. That’s where our Response programs come in. These interventions play a significant role in a child’s development by eliminating obstacles that stop them from reaching their full potential.

But you might be wondering…

Do they really work?

To answer that question, in 2012 Compassion International studied four kinds of interventions in four African countries. What did they find?
