Creative classrooms

Written by: Aveleen Schinkel

Education plays a key role in helping children break free from poverty. It teaches children about the world around them. It gives them options to change it.

But sitting in a classroom all day is boring.

That’s why Compassion takes a creative approach to learning. Education is as diverse as the children we work with, and we want to give them every opportunity to develop skills they can use later in life. We also want our programs to complement what children are already learning in school—not duplicate it.

Here are just a few ways our staff are engaging children in unique, exciting ways.
